installations with a 10 year guarantee, subject to one or two
small conditions including regular maintenance in acco
rdance
with our guidelines issued after installation.
Approved Document L of the Building
Regulations provides set parameters for the thermal performance
of all windows and doors. In order to ensure that compliance
with the regulations is achieved each installation requires
either registering with CERTASS or being checked by the local
authority.
The CERTASS scheme has been set up to allow installers to avoid the time and
costs, of having the local authority check every individual
installation. All work is logged onto the CERTASS database and a
small proportion are then checked by inspectors to confirm
compliance, not only with Part L but also an number of other
regulations, such as the correct glass, frame, and fire escapes,
providing peace of mind to households.
In turn CERTASS issue a paper certificate of compliance to the house owners with
the local authority advised electronically.
Finally, for ultimate peace of
mind, all our work carries an insurance backed guarantee
confirming that any remedial works under the terms of our
contract WILL be carried out.
